Internet speed in France: fixed high and very-high-speed
Very-high-speed (over 30 Mbit/s), driven mainly by fibre, is growing fast in France. This page tracks the structure of fixed internet accesses and the shift from high speed (ADSL) to very-high-speed, based on ARCEP data.

L'ARCEP distingue le haut débit (jusqu'à 30 Mbit/s, historiquement l'ADSL) du très haut débit (au-delà de 30 Mbit/s, porté majoritairement par la fibre optique FttH). La bascule vers le très haut débit s'accélère chaque trimestre.

ARCEP defines very-high-speed as an access offering a downstream speed above 30 Mbit/s. It is mostly delivered by fibre (FttH).
Fibre now represents the vast majority of very-high-speed subscriptions and keeps growing every quarter, as the key figures show.
